You can use Entra Single Sign On (SSO), previously Azure SSO, to authenticate users in Ordergroove. In this guide we'll set it up and test the connection.
Setting up Entra SSO
In order to set up your account to do SSO with Entra you will need to do the following steps:
- Reach out to Ordergroove support with your Entra Tenant ID, Ordergroove support will confirm once the account is set up with your Tenant ID.
- You will need to allow Ordergroove Application to authenticate against your Entra IDP. The Application ID for the Ordergroove app is b709db09-1e9c-4353-b652-db0fb053c9af
Test The Connection
At this point, the Ordergroove Dashboard is configured to authenticate using SSO. You can test an SSO Login by using one of the users in your Entra AD. Before you do that, please make sure the following steps are completed:
- The user exists in Entra AD
- The Entra AD user has been granted access to Ordergroove application
- In Ordergroove Dashboard, a user of type SSO has been created:
- This can be achieved by going to the User management section of RC3:
- Create a user of type "SSO Authentication"
- Their email address provided must match the one they use to login to Entra
- NOTE: Users that have already been created prior to this, who use username/password authentication WILL NOT be able to login via SSO
- The only exception to this is if the existing user’s username is the exact email address, and the user is active, then they click “Login with Entra” and it will be converted to SSO user.
- This can be achieved by going to the User management section of RC3:
- This is available for testing in our staging environment https://rc3.stg.ordergroove.com if you wish - but the same is true in production ( https://rc3.ordergroove.com )
