Save on shipping costs and delight customers by automatically combining multiple orders placed within a few days of each other. With Combination Savings, Ordergroove intelligently merges qualifying orders into a single shipment, reducing fulfillment overhead while providing customers the convenience of consolidated deliveries.
How Combination Savings Works
When a customer's order is sent to your eCommerce platform for placement and shipping, with Combination Savings enabled, Ordergroove can check the customer's profile for any other orders.
If any other orders exist and are scheduled to ship within a specific number of days you set, Ordergroove will merge the orders into one and send that new one out for placement instead.
Combination Savings Example
Here's an example of how Combination Savings could play out, depending on your settings:
- A customer has two upcoming orders scheduled for 5/25 and 5/30
- On 5/20 (5 days before the first order date), your system will send out an order reminder email. Before it does:
- We check for any other orders within the combination window (5/20 to 5/30)
- Identify that the 5/30 order falls within this window
- Combine the 5/25 and 5/30 orders into a single order
- Send the reminder email showing all products and the combined pricing
- The combined order is placed and charged on 5/25
